Tequila San Jose Gold is a Mexican gold tequila with a smooth and versatile character, crafted from blue Agave Tequilana Weber agave grown in the traditional regions of Jalisco. To create it, mature agave plants are hand-harvested and traditionally baked in ovens to convert starch into fermentable sugars, after which the juice undergoes fermentation and double distillation in steel stills. Its distinctive golden hue is achieved through gentle maturation in oak barrels and the use of caramel color correction, further accentuating the smooth profile. The spirit boasts an aroma of cooked agave with notes of caramel, vanilla, and light woody nuances. It displays a balanced, slightly sweet taste with accents of spice, caramel, and soft oak, as well as a warm, golden visual. The finish is soft, slightly peppery, and lingering. Recommended for drinking neat, on the rocks, or in classic cocktails including the Margarita, Paloma, and Tequila Sunrise.
