Description
Citadelle Vive Le Cornichon — a limited-edition French gin from the experimental Les Excentriques series, created by Maison Ferrand as an unconventional interpretation of the classic Citadelle Original. It is produced using a multi-stage distillation method in Charentais copper pot stills over an open flame, utilizing the signature blend of 19 botanicals, to which authentic French Maison Marc cornichons from Burgundy are added, grown without pesticides and harvested by hand. The drink features an expressive juniper-herbal aroma with notes of anise, salty-vinegary cornichon undertones, and spicy nuances, a smooth and unusually fresh taste while preserving the classic gin foundation, and a clear visual color. The finish is long, with subtle notes of mustard and pickled onion. It is recommended for Dirty Martini, Gibson, gin and tonic, and signature cocktails with a gastronomic character.
